eBay I’m selling my VHS “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” signed by Hanyo Miyazaki himself, plus my collection Japanese Vintage Studio Ghibli VHS tapes all in unused condition.In 2000 I was well known as an artist illustrator in Japan and asked my agent If I could visit Studio Ghibli outside of Tokyo. I was/am a fan of their movies. I was welcomed there and was actually able to briefly meet Hayao Miyazaki himself. He was very polite (I think he had no idea why I was meeting him) but he did sign this copy of “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” for me. The staff gave me two other movies, “Pom Poko” and “Laputa Castle in the Sky.” I do not think these tapes have every been played. I do not know if they have English subtitles.If you are a collector of Miyazaki’s films and merchandise the signed copy of “Nausicaä” will be a treasure. If you know the English version of these films well it might be fun to notice if there were difference in the original Japanese versions. If you speak Japanese it will be fun to watch them as they were released in Japan.For fun I’m also adding a US version of “Kiki’s Delivery Service” played a few times but in great condition.1.
